Vast expanse deep and wide

Wish I knew where it lead

Wish I had you by my side

Annoyance or not I do not know

I wonder if you find me so

I wish I knew how to go

Across the expanse

To where you are

To where we were so long ago

It seems like ages

Yet merely days

Since I last looked upon your face

And slowly time creeps

Across the face of this world

Consuming and changing

All that is, was, and will be

Has time taken what we were?

Made us something we wished not?
